THE BREEDER

Ironically, I’m Polly (yes, that’s me, not my bird! ). Guess it was fate that birds and I would co-exist my entire life. I grew up in Phoenix where avian life flourished in the year round warmth. I worked with breeders and vets for over 20 years. I learned how to hand feed everything from budgies to macaws. When we moved to Utah, we decided to bring a little bit of that life with us. We just bought our place out here in Tooele, and I’m finally able to get my new birdy-roots down.

Polly’s Little Crackers is a small family-run business. My husband and 3 kids all love helping to care for our birds. I’m a mom, first, to autistic kids, and I love seeing the glow in their eyes as we work with the baby birds. With that in mind, please be patient with our busy schedule. If I have to choose between answering emails and spending a beautiful afternoon outside, exploring with my kids … the kids will win. 🙂 We’re establishing our own aviary now (instead of always working with the birds from other breeders). All the photography (of our birds!) on the website was done by ourselves. There’s so much beauty in our feathered friends that you might otherwise miss with just a glance.
