Budgie Mutations

We use a lot of mutation terms to describe our baby’s’ genetics: recessive, dominate, clear wing, rainbow, gray factor, yellow-face type2, opaline, Ino, double-factors, spangle, and more! Budgies can have one or more mutation that comes together to make your unique, beautiful baby. Some of this may seem confusing if you’re not into genetics, but it’s all very fascinating (to me, anyway, lol). I started compiling pictures and explanations of all these variations, but then realized that other websites have already done this work over and over! I feel this link is just one of many that has a thorough representation. We have most of these mutations represented in our flock.
